Marriott and Uber have a partnership where you can earn Marriott Bonvoy points for your Uber spends.
This is similar to Uber’s partnership with SPG back in the day. However, unlike SPG, Marriott and Uber’s current partnership is valid in the US only.

How many points you can earn?
You can earn points on your stays as well as Uber Eats orders as per the chart below.

Note that not all types of Uber rides are eligible for earning Marriott Bonvoy points.
For Uber Eats, there is a minimum order sub-total requirement of $25 before promotions and discounts excluding taxes, fees, and tips.
Conclusion
There is no harm in linking your accounts even if you use Uber occasionally.
It is unfortunate that both Uber and Marriott have a strong global presence, yet the offer is limited to the US only. Hope that changes soon.
