Taj InnerCircle and Shangri-La’s Golden Circle have partnered to create a program called - Warmer Welcomes. Status Match for Lifetime
If you have an elite tier status with either of the program, you can get an equivalent tier at the other program. It’s a classic status match. However, with a couple of huge differences:
- There is no manual approval process. Link your accounts online and you are done.
- The status match continues as long as you hold the status. No 90 days challenge or 1 year validity.
- You can use Taj elite status discount offers (generally 25-30% off) that are available from time to time. (Subscribe to Taj promotions updates to keep an eye on the offers)

Choose your primary account carefully
Your primary account will define your tier level reclassification every year. As a Golden Circle Jade or Diamond member, you get the Taj InnerCircle Gold or Platinum membership respectively and vice-versa.
If you select Golden Circle as your primary account, your Taj InnerCircle tier level match will only be awarded when you maintain your Golden Circle Jade or Diamond tier level.
If you select Taj InnerCircle as your primary account, your Golden Circle tier level match will only be awarded when you maintain your Taj InnerCircle Gold or Platinum tier level.
Note: Your Primary Account cannot be changed after having linked your accounts.

Earn Points in One Program
You can earn points in whichever program you want for staying at properties belonging to Taj or Shangri-La. You can specify at check-in whether you want to earn Golden Circle Award Points or Inner Circle points for the stay.
- Earn 3 GC Award Points for every USD 5 spent when staying at any Taj hotel
- Earn 4 TIC Points for every USD 5 spent when staying at any Shangri-La hotel
