After the, not so smooth, merger of SPG, Marriott and Ritz Carlton Loyalty programs, things seem to have settled down and moving in a positive direction. As the combined program merges into Marriott Bonvoy, the brands SPG, Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards won't exist anymore. So rebranding of the credit cards wasn't unexpected. However, Marriott has pleasantly surprised us with some awesome new benefits for card holders and a new beautifully designed card. Let's see what's happening to your SPG Amex.
Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card is Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express® Card
Designed by a Manhattan-based muralist Tony "Rubin" Sjöman, the card looks refreshing. Alas, this is the only one to sport that design.
