It's a Date
March 5th 2019 is the date when we will see a lot of our favourite hotels have their point requirement go up. It's sad but not unexpected. All hotel chains do this from time to time.
However, the good news is that if you have a stay planned for sometime in the future, now is a good time to book. You can still book at the old redemption rates before March 5th 2019. So that's by March 4th.

PS: I always suggest that earn-and-burn is a better strategy for hotel points than accumulating them. Value deterioration is always a possibility.
