IHG is offering yet another opportunity to earn a higher elite status for reduced number of nights.

This time, however, there is also an instant Diamond in the offering.

There are 2 separate offers for faster status. One for Gold and Platinum and the other on for Diamond.

Fast track to IHG Gold and Platinum

This offer lets you achieve Gold or Platinum status for as few as 2 nights.

• Stay 5 nights to earn Platinum Elite status valid until December 2023
• Stay 2 nights to earn Gold Elite status valid until December 2023

You need to register for the promotion first and then complete the required number of nights (2 or 5) by December 31st, 2022.

You normally need 20 nights for Gold and 40 nights for Platinum status.

The nights can be a part of a single stay or multiple stays, as long as they are qualifying nights.

“Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays” are a minimum one (1) night stay booked under a Qualifying Rate, with a room rate exceeding US $30 for each night. Stays booked using Rewards Nights or Points & Cash are not Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays for the purposes of this Promotion. Bookings made through online travel agencies or other reservation sites such as booking.com or expedia.com also do not qualify under this Promotion.

Instant Diamond plus retention challenge

There is another, more interesting, promotion to attain Diamond status with IHG.

Once you sign up for the offer, you would be upgraded to IHG Diamond instantly. Your elite status would be valid until December 31st, 2022.

To extend the validity by another year, you need to stay for 10 nights by December 31st, 2022.

Before you go ahead and register for the promotion, here is a little warning.
