Accor Plus, Accor’s popular dining program in Asia Pacific, is now available on points.
Accor Plus membership comes with several benefits and privileges including Accor ALL silver status, fast track to Gold and Platinum, up to 50% discount on stays and up to 50% off on dining.
Traditionally, you could only buy Accor Plus memberships directly with cash. However, Accor is now letting members redeem their Accor ALL points to purchase Accor Plus membership.
If you have 12,000 or more Accor ALL points lying in your account, you can use them to purchase an Accor Plus membership.
You can purchase Accor Plus Explorer Membership (this plan comes with one free night) for 12,000 reward points on the promotion page.
This is similar to IHG Ambassador Program. However, unlike IHG, Accor Plus memberships on points appear to be for new registrations only and can’t be used for renewals.
Is it worth buying in points?
When you use Accor ALL points for stays, you can redeem 2,000 Reward points for EUR 40. Depending on where you are purchasing the membership from, you can easily compare the cost and decide on the one that offers better value.
If you are not in a hurry, Accor offers several promotions throughout the year for new Accor Plus memberships. These can help save a few bucks.
