Accor Hotels is offering a 25% discount on its best flexible rates at selected hotels across Indonesia and Malaysia. The discount is part of the Accor Private Sale, available exclusively to members of the Accor ALL program.

Members aiming to take advantage of this offer should book a minimum of two nights between now and 31 January 2024. The discounted rate will be applicable to stays until 5 April 2024.

However, note that bookings made under the Member Private Sale rate must be prepaid in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable.

May not always be a good rate.

While a 25% discount might seem appealing, the issue with such promotions is that they’re often applied to the most flexible (and typically highest) rate, while the actual booking is made at a non-refundable rate. Usually, non-refundable rates are cheaper when booked ahead of time.

Take the below rate as an example:

When compared to the flexible rate, the Private Sale rate offers decent savings. However, when benchmarked against the Advance Saver rate, these savings become almost inconsequential. The terms for both are similar and on top of that, the Advance Saver Rate even includes breakfast. Thus, there’s little benefit in using the Member Private Sale at this specific hotel.

That being said, there may be better discounts at other properties. It’s important to compare and evaluate if it’s truly worth it.
